Books-A-Zillion!

Well, OK...only 6 but I'm working on more! I am making journaling books for the girls this year for Christmas. I took an online class with Kelly Kilmer to learn the proper way to do it and I can now make a book in about an hour. Decorating it takes much longer, of course, as I have to layout what I THINK I like and then look at it for a day or so. Also, I don't like to stay in the lines so sometimes my books tie at the top and bottom instead of the sides and sometimes my signatures flow out of the covers, but at least they make me smile! I altered some artwork from the latest Anthropologie Catalog. It has amazing graphics this time so get one quick! I still have to finish 4 of the covers and then I do some piddling inside but leave a lot of white space for them to write in. I am also going to add some beads to the ties but always save that for last.

Newest Mini Art Quilt Necklace

I have another necklace in process and here is the basic mini art quilt piece. I am calling this one Partridge on a Pear in celebration of Fall and the Holidays. I am making it out of Moda Jelly Rolls.

Believe in the Magic at Mickey's House!

Another project I made for a friend's little boy for his birthday. They were going to Disney World so she wanted a book she could put photos in and get the characters to autograph.

Junque Crawl

I had lunch with an old friend the other day in Melbourne and we decided to crawl through some of the shops in the Old Downtown Area. Saw this creation and couldn't stop looking at it! Made out of cereal boxes and water bottles.....reminded me of the Mouse Trap game but the gal in the shop said it was an old race track for marbles. What a lot of work and so interesting!!!

Christmas is Coming!

I am thinking I want to do our tree in ivory and chocolate red this year so started making some ornies this morning. I call these Noah's Stars since my Grandson taught me how to make them. I also like them deconstructed as individual ornies so may leave some that way, too. Thank you, Little Punkin'!

Crown the Queen!

I made a crown from one of my hubby's old oxford shits for one of our daughter's for her birthday. BUT a crown can be worn all year round, you know......Especially when you are the Queen of Everything! I painted, stamped, pinwheeled and added vintage trim and buttons.

Katie Bug's Necklace

If you are familiar with Fancy Nancy....we have a grand daughter that gives her a run for her money on accessorizing AND our Katie is much prettier, too! Here is a necklace I made for Katie for her birthday. It has everything on it but the kitchen sink!

Dotee Dolls I Made for Swap

Pumpkin Made From Fabric Printed from Ephemera

Catching Up On Creations...

I wanted to leave the mini art quilt tutorial up as long as possible, but now need to move on! I have finished my Dotee Dolls for the Milliande Swap and another pumpkin using some vintage images printed on muslin. I will post pictures when Blogger stops giving me an error message!

I had to go back to the old Editor to get pictures to load. Just an FYI if any of you are having problems!
