I Am Teaming Up With Stampin' Up!

After a long hard look at which direction I want to take in life, I have decided to try to expand my Mini Album Designs by joining Stampin' Up!, staying with my creative side for this New Year and seeing where that Adventure takes me. In doing that, I need to expand beyond just making Mini Albums so have spent the last couple of days sketching and making some card designs. Here are three of my cards I have actually finished! I haven't received my initial kit yet so am working with the only three sets of SU stamps I have and two of them are retired! I am waaaaay behind the times!!! I'm sure I will get better as I spend more time on doing this....I keep having this desire to add several pages to my cards! LOL! Old habits........... If any of you are with Stampin' Up!, I'd love to hear from you.

I think I will be able to link my blog to my Stampin' Up! website and you can see all the fabulous items they offer....so inspiring! I will be posting new designs on my blog as I make them so please keep checking in and letting me know what you think of them. If you would like any information about the Stampin' Up! products, please contact me and I will be glad to help! Please be honest about my designs, drop me a note at paperkitz@aol.com or leave me a comment and let me know what you think and thank you ahead of time! I finally feel like happy dancing!

Bright Pear Pillow

Here is a pillow I made out of bright fabrics and beads. One of my loves is "painting" with thread and fabric pieces.

Princess Katie Crown Card

This is a mini album/birthday card I designed for one of our grand daughters for her 7th birthday. Again, made from one sheet of 12" x 12" double sided cardstock. Quick and easy but a real conversation piece when displayed!

Ruby's Ruffled Wristie Mini Album

Here is another mini album I designed over a year ago. This is also made from only one sheet of 12" x 12" double sided cardstock. Named it after one of our Grandbabies. There are four mini's in this photo. Made ruffles out of cardstock! Too much fun!

My Flip Flap Mini Album

Here is another mini album I designed called Flip Flap. Lots of room for wallet size photos out of one sheet of double sided 12" x 12" cardstock. Those are some of my grandbabies! There are 3 mini's in this photo.

Vintage Look Recipe Book

I love this book I made for one of our daughters and the photos are terrible but I'm going to show it more for the "feel" of it and maybe inspire some ideas for a different kind of cook book. I just snapped some quick photos before I mailed it off to Australia. This is a few of the pages. It is full of my top secret quick and favorite recipes. I used tons of embellishments that I had been saving up in my "makes me smile" jar. Tea stained tags, buttons, stamps, old lace, pinwheels, vintage trims, etc. I typed up the recipes on vellum and aged papers on my computer using different fonts and then tore the edges. The base pages are made by cutting 4" x 12" double sided cardstock, folding them in half, nesting them into each other, punching two holes and then attaching them together in the spine area with fibers. Maybe do a smaller version for an original kind of valentine card for those special friends and family members? Put a couple of your sweet secret recipes in it with a sweet sentiment on the cover!

Singapore Waterfall Mini Album

One of our daughters worked in Singapore last year so I designed her an album to diplay her photos in.

New Home Mini Album

I am looking through my photos from last year and found some items I made that I want to share. This is a mini album I designed and made for a friend of ours that bought her first home. It stands up for display and really made her smile! Would be cute for welcoming a new baby home, too, I'm thinkin'!

Working on Valentines Day!

Here are some Dimensional Valentine's I have made to list on Etsy from my Whimsy Hearts pattern. I have added excerpts from Lauren Bacall's book about Bogie, vintage buttons, stamps, scraps and glitter. The base is an out of print double sided cardstock from My Minds Eye. Also, I found some of the stitch patterns I created back in the 90's! Easter Beaster was really popular so will try to market him again on Etsy. Wow...I am really catching up...Valentine's Day AND Easter! I hope I can stay on this being ahead for a change. I am usually more in the "catching up" mode! Happy New Year everyone!
